This has been a rough week so far. Its started with broken databases and visual studio errors. Now, I have some knowledge on how to fix those issues, thankfully.
Fast paced classes. Trying to anticipate the topics in class by doing asp.net tutorials is definitely paying off. Otherwise, I think I'd be completely lost.
Missing my job. It's like a breakup. I've been away long enough to only remember the good times. I was infinitely lucky to have the opportunities and responsibility I was given. After talking to my former colleague about a feature I suggested that they're implementing, I'm jealous. I miss testing issues, validating data and most especially brainstorming ways we could make it easier/faster/more cost effective. I miss the minutiae of mapping out needed data fields and running through all the details looking for errors. I don't miss being in a dead end job because no one else knows how to do my job or skipping multiple vacations because you're needed to solve a problem that would otherwise shut down production.
I'm looking forward to trying to build a few things out on the personal movie database I've built over the next few days.

Way to go, Debra, with the movie database! You are going to be totally kickass at it.
